Women are trolled because of their age

In a conversation with Free Press Journal, Manisha said- Whether in the industry or anywhere else, ageing is an issue for women. We have to feel embarrassed. I have never heard any troller tell a man that he has grown old. But women are trolled for this.

I remember I was sidelined for a round table conference citing my age. They told me it was for people of a certain age. I have seen this in at least 2-3 round table conferences. I was sidelined due to my age. It affects us.

Manisha said- I will keep working as long as I am alive

Manisha further said- We need to show the world and ourselves that even after the age of 50, we can do wonders. We can still live a great life. We can still be good in our profession. We can still live a very happy and healthy life. As long as I am alive, I want to work and stay healthy. I want to look beautiful.

A lot of people think that she is old, how can she work? Or only sister or mother roles are offered to her. Women can do powerful roles too. They can be fabulous, vivacious and full of passion. Many actresses before me have done this and I want to do the same. I still have the hunger to work more. I want to grow as an artist. Age is just a number. 50 is just a number and it will not stop me.
