February 9,Kathmandu.The Earkot Health Outpost building, built with financial assistance from the Government of India, has been inaugurated in Naugad Rural Municipality of Darchula.
The health post building, which was constructed at a cost of Rs 25.36 crore under the 'Nepal-India Development Cooperation', was jointly inaugurated by Naugad Rural Municipality Chairman Daljit Singh Dhami and Counselor of the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu Avinash Kumar Singh.
The opening ceremony was attended by local political representatives, government officials, and social activists.
The health post building, built with a grant from the Government of India, was constructed under the High Impact Community Development Project. The project was implemented through Naugad Rural Municipality with the aim of providing access to health services in remote areas of Darchula.
It is expected that the local residents will receive quality health services after the construction of the health post building. More than 15,000 locals are expected to directly benefit from this. Local stakeholders, including Naugad Rural Municipality Chairman Dhami, have praised the Government of India's continued development assistance in remote areas of Nepal.
The Indian side has stated that the Government of India is committed to collaborating with the Government of Nepal in priority areas such as health, education, and infrastructure development, with the aim of further strengthening the strong neighborly relations and multilateral cooperation between India and Nepal.
