It is important to wear comfortable clothes and shoes while driving. Things like tight clothes, high heels, shoes and sandals, jewelry and heavy hair clips can increase the risk of accidents. So keep some things in mind. Such as-
- Always wear shoes while driving as it gives proper grip to the feet and makes it easier to control the brakes.
- High heels, slippers or backless sandals may make it difficult to operate the brakes and accelerator properly.
- Avoid wearing very dark sunglasses while driving. They can reduce visibility in low light.
- One should also avoid wearing tight jeans, heavy lehenga, long dupatta or heavy saree while driving.

To avoid serious head and neck injuries in an accident while driving a car, some things should be kept in mind. Such as-
- Always wear a seat belt while driving. It prevents the head and neck from jerking forward during an accident.
- Place the seat belt in the correct position. Adjust the belt properly between the shoulder and lap.
- Keep the position of the headrest correct. The height of the headrest should always be up to the middle of the head. This provides full support to the neck in case of an accident.
- There should not be too much gap between the headrest and the head.
- While driving, sit straight and keep your head close to the headrest so that you do not get a severe shock in case of an accident.
- Adjust the steering wheel correctly.
- For the safety of yourself and others, do not drive at high speed.
- Do not use mobile phone while driving.
