Stale or contaminated food and dirty water can cause stomach infection, which can lead to vomiting, diarrhea and food poisoning.

What things should be kept in mind to avoid infections or diseases in summer?

For this, it is most important to keep the body hydrated. Drink plenty of water throughout the day and take natural drinks like coconut water, lemonade, buttermilk. This will prevent water deficiency in the body. Apart from this, wear light colored cotton clothes, so that sweat can dry easily and bacteria do not grow. Wearing tight and synthetic clothes should be avoided as they block moisture and increase the risk of skin infection. Along with this, it is also important to keep some other things in mind.

What kind of changes should be made in the diet to avoid digestive problems in summer?

Food has a direct impact on our health. In such a situation, not taking the right diet in summer can lead to dehydration, heat stroke and digestive problems. Therefore, you should include light food, adequate nutrients and hydrating things in your diet. For this, keep these things given in the pointers in mind. Such as-

  • Determine the right time and quantity of food. Avoid staying hungry for too long or eating too much. Eat a light dinner, so that you can sleep better and your digestive system remains healthy.
  • Excessive chilli-spices and junk food put more pressure on the digestive system, which can cause acidity and gas problems. Therefore, avoid eating oily-spicy and fried foods in summer.
  • Food can spoil quickly in this season, which increases the risk of food poisoning and digestive diseases. So always eat fresh food. Avoid stale and open food.
  • To keep the digestive system healthy in summer, drink at least 8 to 10 glasses of water a day. Apart from this, also drink coconut water, bael juice and lemonade. These keep our body hydrated.
  • Eating light food is the best option in summer. Green vegetables, seasonal fruits (watermelon, melon, cucumber, kakdi), curd and buttermilk help in digestion and cool the stomach.

What precautions are necessary to protect from mosquitoes in summer season?

Due to increase in the number of mosquitoes in summer, the risk of diseases like dengue, malaria and chikungunya increases. It is important to take some precautions to prevent these diseases. For this, you can adopt these measures.

  • Mosquitoes breed in stagnant water, so do not allow water to accumulate around the house.
  • Use mosquito net while sleeping.
  • Wear light and full sleeve clothes in the morning and evening.
  • To prevent mosquitoes, install nets on the windows and doors of the house.
  • To prevent mosquitoes from breeding around the house, get fogging done and maintain cleanliness.
